Biography

Serge Reggiani was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Reggiani's earliest roles were in film, including "Manon" (1949) with Cecile Aubry, "La Ronde" (1950) with Anton Walbrook and "Casque d'or" (1952). He also appeared in "The Secret People" (1952), "Act of Love" (1953) and the Jean-Pierre Aumont biopic "Napoleon" (1955). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "The Big Shots" (1972), "Trois Milliards sans Ascenseur" (1972) and the comedy "Don't Touch the White Woman!" (1973) with Marcello Mastroianni. He also appeared in the drama "Vincent, Francois, Paul... et les Autres" (1974) with Yves Montand. During the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in the dramatic adaptation "Les Miserables" (1989) with Jean Gabin, the drama "There Were Days and Moons" (1990) with Gerard Lanvin and "Plein Fer" (1990). He also appeared in the dramedy "I Hired a Contract Killer" (1990) with Jean-Pierre Léaud and "Forced to Be With Others" (1993). Most recently, Reggiani appeared on the Bérénice Béjo documentary "Henri-George Clouzot's Inferno" (2010).
